Kavi® Showcase Help

Appendix D. Profile Data Fields

Table of Contents

Overview

Overview

Kavi Showcase provides an extensive set of predefined data fields and these can be extended by the addition of custom fields. This document provides information about the most important default Profile data fields. Depending on configuration, you may not see all the fields listed here and you may also see fields that are not listed here, including fields that are custom to your organization.

Note

Kavi Showcase automatically adds an email template variable for every field and makes the field available through report tools.

Table D.1. Profile Data Fields Table

Field Name

database_column

Required? Description

Category

profile_categories

Required Every profile is assigned one or more categories. Categories determine how a profile is displayed in the showcase and are used to retrieve the profile in searches.

City

profile_city

The City portion of the profile owner's address in whatever format is used by the organization. This field will be present if this organization collects company or user addresses. If the profile is linked to the Kavi Members account, this will match the address listed for this account holder.

Contact(s)

profile_contacts

The full name and email address of this profile's contacts. A Person Profile has only the profile owner as a contact. A Company Profile may have up to four company representatives designated as profile contacts. Contact are only available for profiles that are linked to an account in Kavi Members, so Independent Profiles don't have contacts.

The value may be 'Display Publicly' (1) or 'Yes'; or 'Do Not Display' (0) or 'No'. If set to 'No' or 'Do Not Display', the profile is not displayed in the showcase. If set to 'Yes', the profile is displayed in the showcase, assuming it meets all other eligibility criteria (e.g., it is active and was approved by a Showcase Moderator).

Featured End Date

profile_featured_end

Optional If this profile was featured and the featuring has ended, the end date is recorded in this field. There are two scenarios under which this field is blank: either the profile was not featured (in which case the Featured Start Date will also be blank) or else is currently featured (as you can see by looking at the Featured Start Date).
