Super Admins use the Edit Profile Category tool to edit categories for profiles. These categories are used to classify profiles and determine how they are presented or retrieved when visitors search and browse the organization's showcase. Administrators can also use categories when searching for profiles through management tools.
Flat or hierarchical categories
Categories can have a flat structure so that all categories are at the same level, or may be nested so that a category may have subcategories. Most organizations use a flat category structure.
If your organization uses hierarchical categories, each category may have one or many subcategories. When subcategories are displayed to application users and showcase visitors, the tree structure is displayed to so the viewer can see where the category is within the hierarchy.
This is configured by setting the 'profile_flat_categories' option in Configure Kavi Showcase.
Back to topEdit the name and description for this category. If profile categories are hierarchical, the category's place in the tree is displayed. You may change the position of the category within the tree as desired. When you are satisfied with your settings, click Edit to save your changes.
