Kavi® Showcase Help
Table of Contents
The Automate Company Profile Additions tool is used to select the types of companies whose profiles should be automatically added to Kavi Showcase.
Select Company Types to determine what kinds of company profiles are created automatically as companies are added to the Kavi® Members database. Company Types in the General (through membership only) category and General category will be displayed, but if the organization has any Company Types that convey admin privileges, these aren't included in the list of available Company Types.
Select the Category and State to be assigned to new companies by default. For example, a 'Companies' category could be assigned to new company profiles. If the 'mod_profiles' option is set to 'Yes' in Configure Kavi Showcase, the organization has elected to moderate profiles before they are displayed, so the State can be set to 'Pending' or 'Working'.
Note
Once this tool is configured, a new profile is created for every new company that has one of the selected types as the company is added to Kavi Members. This doesn't work retroactively, however. To add profiles for preexisting companies, use the Bulk Add Profiles tool.

- Company Types
A list of general Company Types is displayed. Select one or more of the available types as desired. If you want to have profiles added for all companies in the database, select 'All Companies', but be aware that this isn't necessarily restricted to member companies (i.e., companies with the 'Member' Purpose).
- Attributes for New Profiles
-
Set the Category and State attributes to be assigned to new profiles as they are added.
- Category
Select a category to be applied to all new company profiles by default.
- State
-
If the 'mod_profiles' option is set to 'Yes' in Configure Kavi Showcase, the organization has elected to moderate profiles before they are displayed so the State is set to 'Working' if the organization wants to allow members to edit their profiles or fulfill prerequisites before profiles are sent for moderation, or 'Pending' if new profiles should be sent straight to the moderation queue.
If 'mod_profiles' is set to 'No', profiles aren't moderated so the state of a new profile is automatically set to 'Approved' as it is added.
Your configuration settings are displayed for you to review. These settings are effective immediately.
