The Kavi platform experienced a failure of both primary and secondary gateway networking devices in our core data center during an unscheduled emergency system update on the evening of Jan. 15, 2013. Anyone attempting to visit our Workspace-hosted application would have simply been unable to connect/had their request time out.
The outage started at approximately 5:50 PM Pacific time and full network connectivity was restored at 7:00 PM. Due to the nature of this emergency maintenace, it was not possible to notify customers in advance. We have addressed the core problem, and are working to troubleshoot the devices to ensure full redundancy in the future. We apologize for this unplanned service interruption.
